Absent Healing
item1a

THE ABSENT HEALING SERVICE
is an important aspect of the work of the
Sufi Healing Order, and is given regularly by more than 400 ordained Conductors around the world. Names of individuals on the healing list are read aloud by the Conductor during the Service, while those gathered in the Healing Circle focus breath and prayer toward the healing of each individual.

CREATED BY HAZRAT INAYAT KHAN,
the Absent Healing Service is conducted regularly in homes and meeting places around the country, and we welcome names of those who wish to receive this form of healing. You may submit your own name (first and last) or that of a friend, with that person's permission, by contacting us by email or phone. It is not necessary to supply details of the illness or ailment. All names received for inclusion on the list are considered sacred and confidential, and will not be shared with anyone outside the Healing Circles.

THE READINGS
(links at right), which are from Hazrat Inayat Khan's healing discourses, are read as part of the weekly Absent Healing Service. You are welcome to use them for personal inspiration, whether or not you participate in the Service. Previous readings are on the Archive page.

Hazrat Inayat Khan spoke frequently of the power of the Divine to heal. His discourses on healing are rich with reflections on the nature of healing and on the elements essential for maintaining one's own health — a necessity for those who are involved in a healing relationship with others.
