dohrmanns1a1WE BEGAN OUR WORK
in the field of growth and healing more than twenty-five years ago. In the 1980s, as we studied subtle energy processes and their relationship to mind-body healing, we began meeting jointly with clients and have been working together ever since.

Clients have reported that our balance of feminine and masculine energies brings more insight, energy and support in their sessions with us. They have found that this setting makes it easier to access and resolve issues, and that it gives rise to healing at very deep levels.

In August, 2008, we moved from Corvallis to Milwaukie, Oregon, and we are now receiving clients from the greater Portland area. We work long-distance and in-person. If you feel that our work might be of help to you or would like to learn more about it, please call or send us an email.

FORMAL TRAINING
Mary holds graduate degrees in Clinical Social Work (MSW, University of Kansas) and in Radiation Biophysics (MS, Rochester University Medical School). David holds graduate degrees in Counseling Psychology (MS, University of Kansas) and in Religion (MDiv, Eden Seminary, St. Louis). We are certified as practitioners of The Raphaelite Work, a method of subtle energy healing based on the practice of presence and the development of the heart. We are also ordained ministers in the Sufi Order International, and under this aegis we teach meditation, conduct ceremonies (weddings, funerals, memorial services), and offer guidance in Spiritual Development.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE
our family includes four children and five grandchildren, who are very close to our hearts, if not always close geographically! We have two pets, a beautiful black stray cat named Pywacket, who walked onto our back patio last fall as we were moving into our house in Milwaukie, and Piper, an energetic Golden Retriever who arrived as an 8-week-old puppy in our household in early June, 2009. If you're a dog lover, check out our blog, which chronicles Piper's progress … and lack of same!

Our list of "favorite things" includes travel, classical and sacred music, photography, crosswords, Kansas Jayhawks, good food, strong coffee, and a taste of dark chocolate now and then. We also enjoy growing roses, rhodies, veggies and you-name-it in the gardens surrounding our home. We embrace living with integrity, joy, and creativity, and we love helping others who wish to do the same.
